Picking Up the Pieces

Will try to pick up the pieces
Of my broken self
 Piece by piece
I’ll put myself back together again…

 In God’s time
And in God’s ways
He’ll make things happen
That will shake us, break us
But it’s what’s needed to help make us
To be the person/s He wants us to be.

 I wonder why,
I wonder how
Things had to happen the way it did
But who am I to question God’s plan for me?
All I know is, hey I’m still breathing… Life goes on still…
That means something’s still waiting for me.

 So I lift it all up to You, Oh Lord…
You know the pains of my heart
Please take care of me at this season of my life
So I’ll know one day I’ll wake up and say, “I am okay”.
